Grant funds pathways to success
The University of Southern Maine's (USM's) commitment to student success just got a boost from a federal TRiO Student Support Services grant. Over $2 million will be shared by USM and Southern Maine Community College. The schools will work together to ensure that low-income, disabled, and first-generation college students can graduate and succeed. Read more.

Research on racial bias earns national award
A team of students, faculty, and staff at USM's Muskie School of Public Service earned national recognition for its report on racial bias in Maine's juvenile justice system. The report, published by the Maine Statistical Analysis Center at the Muskie School, was one of just four national award winners. Read more. |
