| Maine's Senator Angus King and Representative Chellie Pingree toured USM's newly named "QC2 Lab" as part of the Inaugural New England Craft Brew Summit this month. "USM can be an engine of real economic growth," said King in his keynote address. |

| Fulbright Winner to Study Bioarchaeology |

| Congratulations to Roxanne Guildford (Geography-Anthropology Class of 2015), who has won a prestigious Fulbright award. She will study bioarchaeology with a focus in the zooarchaeology of Europe at the University of Exeter in the UK. |
