This year they investigated a wide variety of topics, from fighting Ebola to creating an adjustable maze.   Read More                             Attention for historic Columbus letter   USM's Osher Map Library is home to a rare copy of a 15th century letter describing Christopher Columbus' journey to America. Students, faculty, and the community are able to view and study the letter in person or digitally.   Read More                             "I touched a bug!"   Students in USM's Environmental Science and Policy program visited Portland's Capisic Brook with 30 Longfellow Elementary School fifth graders to teach them about wetland ecology as part of an ongoing partnership between the two schools.   Read More                             Students tackle gender-bending opera   USM's School of Music performed Monteverdi's full-length baroque opera, The Coronation of Poppea, on April 30 at Corthell Concert Hall on the Gorham campus.
