By using this light-hearted approach, Sockalexis hopes to bring more understanding to a complex and sometimes uncomfortable topic.   Read More                             New student housing coming to Portland   USM has signed a deal with Bayside Apartments for student housing in Fall of 2017 thanks to approval from a University of Maine System Board of Trustees committee. Bayside Apartments are located less than one mile from our Portland campus.   Read More                             Video: Veterans Services at USM   USM has the highest number of veterans, active military personnel, and reservists of any Maine college this year. In this segment from The USM Update, President Glenn Cummings talks with guests about Veterans Services at USM and how they help students succeed.   Watch the Video                             Students tackle puppetry for Avenue Q   Students performed the Broadway hit Avenue Q at Corthell Hall on our Gorham Campus.
