Student's "King Tide" photo is a contest finalist
On October 9th, a super high "King Tide" hit communities around the Gulf of Maine and local photographers were invited to capture the impacts. In the first Gulf of Maine "King Tide" photo contest, USM art student Abigail Krolak was a finalist with her image of a flooded Portland waterfront. View the contest photos.

Fellowship spurs collaboration across continents
USM professor Lisa Moore, recipient of an Australian Endeavor Executive Fellowship, is heading Down Under to expand her marine microbiology research at Macquarie University in New South Wales. Her collaborations with Australian oceanographers could have long-term benefits for USM students. Learn more.
